EACH LEVEL IS DESIGNED TO HELP PLAYERS ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL WHILE PREPARING FOR THE NEXT STAGE OF THEIR BASEBALL JOURNEY. BELOW IS AN OUTLINE OF OUR TEAM LEVELS AND EXPECTATIONS:

Coach Pitch DEVELOPMENT (6U-8U)

Team LeveL

  • COMPETITION: AA/D3 and/or OPEN tournaments

  • FOCUS: Introducing baseball at a competitive level to the early ages

  • EXPECTATIONS:

    • Players are required to participate in ALL team training

    • Players are expected to explore additional individual & small group training opportunities

    • Emphasis on introducing competitive baseball to build a solid foundation

Team Levels

FOUNDATIONAL TEAMS (AA)

  • COMPETITION: AA/D3 tournaments & weekly league play (REQUIRED)

  • FOCUS: Building player proficiency in fundamentals (Fielding, Pitching, Hitting, Catching & Baserunning)

  • EXPECTATIONS:

    • Players are required to participate in ALL team training

    • Players are expected to participate in additional individual & small group training opportunities

    • Emphasis on introducing competitive baseball to build a solid foundation

ADVANCED TEAMS (AAA)

  • COMPETITION: OPEN/AAA/D2 tournaments & weekly league play

  • FOCUS: Emphasizing team-based situation play and strategic execution in competitive settings

  • EXPECTATIONS:

    • Players are required to participate in ALL team training

    • Players are expected to work with specialized hitting and position instructors on a recurring basis

    • Commitment to mastering advanced techniques and game strategies

ELITE TEAMS (Majors)

  • COMPETITION: OPEN/Majors/D1 tournaments and weekly league play (OPTIONAL)

  • EXPECTATIONS:

    • Players are required to participate in ALL team training

    • Players are required to work with specialized hitting and position instructors on a recurring basis

    • Players are expected to be dedicated to physical conditioning and mental preparation.

    • Elevated level of play featuring larger team sizes and ongoing competition for time on the field and in the batting order

Team LeveL

  • COMPETITION: OPEN/AAA/D2 tournaments & weekly league play

  • FOCUS: Led by an independent coach with an emphasis on preparing middle school students for high school baseball

  • TEAM SIZE AND FORMATION:

    • Teams will consist of 12 Players. Players will be selected through Texas Sandlot tryouts.

  • EXPECTATIONS:

    • Players are required to participate in ALL team training

    • Players are required to work with specialized hitting and position instructors on a recurring basis

    • Players are expected to be dedicated to physical conditioning and mental preparation.

    • Elevated level of play featuring larger team sizes and ongoing competition for time on the field and in the batting order

SCOUT TEAMs (MAJORS)

Nationally competitive teams that will compete in high profile national events across the country. Team members will be trained by DFW’s top trainers in pitching, catching, fielding and hitting.

  • COMPETITION: Majors Tournaments

  • FOCUS: Elite competition and showcasing of North Texas talent for scouts and recruiters.

  • TEAM SIZE AND FORMATION:

    • Teams will consist of 12-14 Players dependent on length and stature of event. Players will be graded and selected by independent coaches through a multi-stage evaluation process and event rosters will be built from the Scout pool.

  • PRACTICES:

    • Weekly Indoor and Weekly Field

    • Off-Weekend and Off-Season Trainer Led Team Sessions
